Dr. Muhammad Abdul Rahman Sikandar is a highly qualified and experienced cardiologist, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. With extensive international exposure, Dr. Sikandar possesses expertise in all major branches of cardiology, including both interventional and non-interventional procedures.

Dr. Sikandar’s foundation in cardiology was established through a rigorous five-year training program. This program comprised two years of internal medicine training followed by three years dedicated to adult cardiology. Throughout this period, he gained invaluable hands-on experience in various departments, such as the cardiac catheterization laboratory, echocardiography department, cardiac emergency department, coronary care unit management, exercise treadmill department, and nuclear cardiology department. These rotations equipped him with comprehensive skills to manage a wide range of cardiac conditions, including ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), heart failure, arrhythmias, heart blocks, pericardial effusion, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, and post-cardiac surgery complications.

Distinguishing himself further, Dr. Sikandar pursued a second fellowship in echocardiography, specializing in both transesophageal and stress echocardiography. Additionally, he obtained the prestigious Diplomate Board of Echocardiography qualification from the USA, showcasing his commitment to excellence in this field.

In his most recent role as Senior Registrar, Dr. Sikandar independently performed coronary angiography and primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). He also assumed leadership responsibilities as the in-charge of the echocardiography department and led the emergency department team during on-call shifts.
