Dr. Renjini Radhakrishnan is a Specialist Nephrologist with advanced training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. She completed her MBBS from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram, where she was awarded a Gold Medal for securing the highest marks in her graduating class. She subsequently earned her MD in Internal Medicine from Madras Medical College, Chennai, and pursued super-specialty training in Nephrology with a DM in Nephrology from Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. Dr. Renjini further strengthened her expertise by obtaining the DrNB in Nephrology and the ESE (European Specialty Examination) in Nephrology certification from the Royal College of Physicians (RCP), UK. Her strong academic background and commitment to excellence have enabled her to provide comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients with a wide range of kidney disorders. She has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), end-stage renal disease (ESRD), hypertension, diabetic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, and other complex nephrological conditions. Her areas of special interest include dialysis services, transplant nephrology, and interventional nephrology procedures. Dr. Renjini is skilled in performing renal biopsies and temporary and permanent dialysis catheter placements, while also managing advanced renal replacement therapies such as haemodialysis, CRRT, haemoperfusion, and peritoneal dialysis. Recognized for her academic achievements, Dr. Renjini was awarded the prestigious Dr. H. L. Trivedi Gold Medal in the DrNB Nephrology Examination in April 2024. She has also received multiple awards and accolades in national-level nephrology and rheumatology competitions. In addition to her clinical expertise, she has contributed to research and academic publications in the field of nephrology.
