Dr. Mahmoud Alkarin is an experienced gastroenterologist with 7 years of expertise in diagnosing and managing gastrointestinal and liver-related conditions. He graduated from medical college in Egypt in 2010 and completed his internship year in 2011 at Ain Shams Hospital (El Demerdash Hospital). In 2012, Dr. Mahmoud began a comprehensive 5-year training program under the Syrian Board of Gastroenterology. The first two years of his residency focused on various departments within internal medicine, while the remaining three years were dedicated to gastroenterology and endoscopy. He successfully completed his training and earned his certification in 2017. Dr. Mahmoud has been practicing as a gastroenterologist in Syria since 2018 and is currently transitioning to practice at a medical center in the UAE starting August 2024. His clinical expertise spans upper and lower GI endoscopy, liver biopsies, and the management of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and chronic liver diseases.
